If you’ve been watching BBC 2’s The Great Interior Design Challenge, you will have seen Sunderland illustrator and author Anne Curtis reach the quarter-finals. Anne is writing our children’s story about a family of naughty mice who invade an organ and wreak havoc with its capacitors and keyboard. The story was inspired by the Horsley mice who nibbled on our harmoniums and keyboards before we installed our organ on the organ gallery.
We are running a competition to find appropriate names for these seven mice. Each mouse needs a name beginning with a keyboard note and we are asking local children (of all ages) to think up names for them. Entry forms may be found here or on our Facebook page (Holy Trinity Church, Horsley, Organ Restoration Project).
